We observed Brian’s class for our first research lesson. To start class off, Brian had his students write a reflection on what they’ve learned this semester.
We used this document to record notes as we were observing the lesson:
After the lesson we met to debrief. As the observed teacher, Brian spoke first and then we all started to share our notes on what we had observed during each step of the lesson. We continued this process on-line using a Google Doc. We also create a folder for photos of student work.
