This very accessible, young adult biography of Charles Darwin would be great for students in ABE or pre-HSE. There are 3-4 pages per chapter, with images on each page. The content, however, is not dumbed down. There will still be challenging vocabulary and concepts for many students. This book could be a great way for students to quickly get an outline of Darwin’s life and the theory of evolution, and then follow up this reading with Charles Darwin, by Kathleen Krull.
