There are several math questions we could ask about this design in different areas of math. This problem focuses on area.

The problem comes from the Math Memos section of CollectEdNY (linked above) where you will find handouts, samples of student work, push and support cards and a teacher write-up for how to use it your class. The materials were developed by Casey Karger as part of his 2022 NYSED Teacher Leader mini grant project.
