A Virtual Exploration of Symmetry through Coloring

This lesson has students exploring line symmetry and rotational symmetry through color. After an introduction to symmetry and some work with the language of symmetry, students use an online platform to color an image of interlocking circles and investigate various design challenges. The lesson was created on Google Slides which can be edited and adapted for specific classroom needs.

This activity was designed for adult learners by members of the Adult Numeracy Network.
