Online Tools for Independent Pronunciation Practice (ESOL)

Baruch College’s Tools for Clear Speech program offers in-person and online services for Baruch students. One section of their website, however, is publicly accessible: Tools To-Go.

We have limited time with our learners in class, so they will appreciate the variety of practice activities and clarity of instructions. In the Voiced and Voiceless sounds section, the site suggests some tricky sounds to practice depending on one’s language. (There are 13 languages from which to choose.)

Some of the site’s pages are rather text heavy, so it is likely most appropriate for high intermediate and advanced level learners.
